Mission
The mission of the Juvenile Community Corrections Program is to provide a continuum of services utilizing the least restrictive alternatives that balance the importance of community safety and the needs of the individual offender. By diverting offenders from the Department of Correction and increasing the availability of services within the community, offenders are able to maintain community ties and work with their families.
Program
Dedicated case managers develop programs to address the specific needs of the young people it supervises. Juvenile Community Corrections performs intensive assessments to identify the needs of the juvenile offender, including assessing substance abuse, mental health, and educational needs.
Supervision
Intensive supervision helps ensure offender compliance and public safety. Electronic Monitoring, Day Reporting, and Transition Programs provide options that can be tailored to the individual juvenile offender.
