Adult Protective Services investigates reports of potential endangerment and, where substantiated,
finds the least restrictive interventon to resolve the situation. They also provide educational
opportunities for service providers and community organizations about adult endangerment,
prevention and response. The Adult Protective Services of the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's office is one of 18 in Indiana. This office serves a four-county area: St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall and Kosciusko counties. Staff investigate reports received and also provide training for community members/organizations and service providers about preventing endangerment, and identifying and addressing it when it occurs. |
