1. Where do I go for tax information?

The assessor's duties end once a property's gross assessment has been determined. All other components of the tax bill are functions of the Auditor or the Treasurer.

2. How do I file an appeal?

You have 45 days to submit an appeal once the Form 11 (assessment notice) has been mailed. This 45 days starts on the mailing date. For more information visit the Appeals page.

3. What is the current tax rate?

The tax district is represented by the last three digits of the number beginning with 71, and it can be found in the first column.
Alternately you can search for the first thee digits of the tax ID (short number) in the second column.

5. What is my last certified assessment value?

6. Where can I find the most current owner?

The Auditor maintains the most recent ownership information.

7. What do I need to do when I buy a new property?

First you need to come to the Assessor's Office with your deed and closing documents. You will complete a sales disclosure with the Assessor before bringing the documents to the Auditor and finally the Recorder. Sales Disclosure Form

11. How do I file personal property?

For your convenience, the Assessor has published Personal Property Filing Information.

12. How long do I have to file my personal property?

Personal Property filings are due to the Assessor's Office by May 15th of each year.

13. What if my business closed?

If your business closed prior to January 1st of the assessment year, you still need to complete and sign your Form 104, note the closure date, and return your Form 104 to the County Assessor’s office. More Information...

14. What if I removed a structure from my property?

You need to complete an Affidavit of Destroyed or Removed Property, and file it with the Assessor's Office. Complete DLGF form 51536.

15. How do I correct a prior year's assessment?

You must file a Form 133 Petition for correction of an Error with the Auditor's Office
