Orienteering

What is Orienteering?

Orienteering is an activity for all ages and levels of fitness and skill, in which the object is to locate control points within the park using a detailed map. It can be enjoyed as a leisurely walk in the woods or as a competitive sport combining the suspense and excitement of a treasure hunt.

Orienteering for groups and organizations

Your friends and colleagues will navigate to checkpoints throughout the park using a special, highly detailed map. It’s a fun (and competitive) way to get people of all ages to work together while enjoying the outdoors. The route between each point is not specified, and crafty and quick navigation decisions are the essence of the sport. We’ll customize a course for you based on challenge level and length. Pricing varies by group size and duration. Combo the experience with a shelter rental for a unique picnic outing at either Ferrettie-Baugo Creek or St. Patrick’s County Park.
